Predicting, connecting, visualizing,
questioning, clarifying, summarizing, and inferring
are all skills that children need to have in order to
best understand what they read. Some children naturally
develop these comprehension skills and use them intuitively,
but for others, they must be shown how to enhance the
reading process to become competent comprehenders.
