Our classes participate in two field trips in which we learn about life at sea. One takes place in our multiuse room at school where parents organize and run "stations" in which students participate in many nautical activities - knot tying, boat rowing, hauling and line throwing, cooking, vocabulary enrichment and sea chantey singing.

This "at school" field trip is followed by an overnight on board the historic C.,A. Thayer or the beautiful Balclutha on the Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco.

Join our classes as we discover the skills and knowledge needed to become capable salts at sea.
