Our project started when one of our members
became aware of a grant opportunity available through our county office
of education. Fifth grade teachers Ann Ralph and Alice Noyes provided
the curriculum project for this website, and District Technology Coordinator,
Courtney Guinn, brought the ideas together in the form of a proposal
to the Dean and Margaret Lesher Foundation and the Contra Costa County
Office of Education. Our team began work in the summer of 2002 at the
Web Technology Academy offered through the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory,
Livermore, California and the University of California, Berkeley, California.
We hope your students will benefit from the diversity and variety of
activities found on this site. Please feel free to contact any of us,
share your classroom successes and give us feedback as to how we might
improve this site.
