The Oral Tradition
Website will focus on different oral tradition genres such as Pourquoi
Tales, Tall Tales, Multicultural Tales, and Tales Told Twice. It is
a resource for teachers and a site for students to access. There are
lessons for teachers to download that will lead them through the steps
of teaching each genre to their students with additional activities
that enhance the teaching of each genre. There are resource lists of
books and other materials to use. For students, there are story starters
and other links that students can access to get ideas to write their
own tales in the style of each particular genre. We invite students
to submit their writing and other related work which will be posted
for others to read.
