Assessment and Evaluation:

Embedded in the activity is teacher observation of student knowledge of numbers and operations. Teacher evaluation of number of student clues, use of mathematics vocabulary in writing the clues, and ability of students to match clues to appropriate fractions. Of particular importance in this activity is student knowledge of the difference between the numerator and denominator in a fraction.
