Mary Anne LaPointe is an 11 year veteran teacher at John Muir Elementary in Martinez, California. A graduate of Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, Mary Anne was named Teacher of the Year for 2002-2003 for the Martinez Unified School District. She and her husband, Michael ,a two-time CTAG grant recipient and an English teacher at Campolindo High School in Moraga, California, are about to celebrate their thirty-first wedding anniversary. They have a son, Stefan, age 25, a daughter, Jann, age 22, and their dog, Bella. She can be reached at malapointe@martinez.k12.ca.us.

Jennifer Hussey has been teaching 4th grade at John Muir Elementary School since 1999. She is recently married to Ryan, who teaches high school Social Studies in the district.

She graduated from CSU, Chico where she also earned her teaching credential. Jennifer also attended the University of London for a semester abroad. She is a native of Camarillo, CA and loves to visit her sister on the Hawaian Island of Oahu. She now resides in Martinez close to the John Muir House.jlove@martinez.k12.ca.us
