Bats are a truly amazing animal. Like ourselves, bats are mammals with a body that is very similar to our own. Their wings are really like our hands with just really long fingers and a skin membrane spread across the fingers.

There are almost 1000 different species of bats that represent all types of different shapes, colors, sizes and diets. Many are endangered as they loose habitat and homes.
