Student Project: A Native American Simulation

Project Steps:

1. Students are divided into groups and assigned a Native American tribe to study.

2. Students visit the homepage and click on their tribe's region on the map.

3. Students receive a website generated problem that is facing their tribe.

4. Students assume the role of the tribal leaders and research their tribe's history, customs, geographic region, food, and shelter.

5. Students use this information to create a solution for their tribe's problem that is in keeping with that tribe's background.

6. Students present their solution to the class who act as the tribe members.

7. The class decides whether to support the proposed solution or not based on the presentation rubric.
